Sapna & Ajit’s grand Hindu wedding ceremony finale to the 3 days of celebration took place on the beautiful Jajmandir Ghat Palace on the small island in Lake Pichola, which is one of the 5 famous lakes in the city of Udaipur in Rajasthan, nothrern India. Also known as the “Lake Garden Palace”, Jajmandir Palace has been used by Maharajas as a summer resort & for royal entertaining for over 500 years & is accessible only by small boat. The location was truly magical for a wedding & an absolute dream to photograph! The palace itself covers the entire island & offers panoramic views across the lake, including to the Lake Palace Hotel (another stunning island on Lake Pichola) as well as back to the Udaipur City Place on the mainland which was where Sapna & Ajit’s Sangeet was hosted the night before. The palace itself is made up of a series of large courtyards & gardens all stunningly decorated with fresh flowers, gentle lighting, fountains & grand architecture. This wedding was my first taste of India & it far surpassed my expectations in beauty, colour, hospitality & adventure!
