Preston Court has to be one of the quirkiest wedding venues I have had the pleasure of being wedding photogapher at! It’s got it all – lakes, gardens, abandoned steam trains, a fully restored vintage gypsy caravan, barns complete with an eccentric vintage organ as a backdrop, a country manor house, open fields…there is even a victorian carousel! It’s crazy to have such an eclectic mix of objects and styles in one venue, in the heart of the Kent countryside :) Sophia & Daniel were so lovely – I enjoyed every minute of their stunning wedding day. The day began at Broadstairs Beach with getting ready and bubbles with the bridal party. We got some lovely photographs of Dad’s first look of Sophia in her beautiful Grace Loves Lace wedding dress on the balcony of the Royal Albion Hotel which overlooks the beach. The wedding ceremony was held outdoors on a absolutely breathtaking private peninsula within the grounds of the extensive manor gardens, accessed by a pretty iron bridge. The guests were seated across a stream on the main land. After the ceremony we moved on for a few formal photos of the families and a drinks reception alongside their vintage VW campervan which they had hired for the occasion! I has a great time exploring the extensive grounds with Sophia & Daniel for their couples photoshoot, despite slightly temperamental weather with short outbreaks of rain and showers. We managed to get some truly stunning creative photos by the lakes, on the carousel and later with the abandoned steam train and fields for sunset. Congrats guys! you rock! x
